Is music allowed in Islam?
Answer:
Music is not allowed in Islam as the Prophet Sallallahualiahi Wasallam said: "There will come a time on my ummah in which they will make lawful silk, adultery, alcohol and musical instruments". When the Prophet Sallallahualaihi Wasallam mentioned "make lawful" we know that it's unlawful. Music is only done by musical instruments so it's haram. Some scholars permitted some instruments that are not considered haram like certain drums or duff.
